This is how a Lederland couch is built: the springs

There are a few types of springs:

A no-sag spring is a wavy metal spring and gives good support. They are used in the more high-end production due to their amazing qualities. These springs are hardened and will stay great quality for years.

In a couch seat, there must be a spring every 8 to 10 cm. Nowadays these springs are often attached with a plastic clip. The downside to a plastic clip is that it will easily break. Do you want to assure your couch is durable? Make sure it has metal clips.

Besides No-sag springs we also use spiral springs. These springs used to be used to create a rounded seat in classic chairs. These springs are the most comfortable, but also the most expensive. It is also very difficult to place these and attach them.
